The Communications Consortium Media Center (CCMC) is a non-profit media organization that assists other nonprofits and foundations in helping design and implement strategic media campaigns designed to build public will for policy change. For seven years the CCMC facilitated the Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities which was a collaboration of the nation’s leading learning disability groups. The Coordinated Campaign placed more than $150 million in public service advertising on radio and television regarding learning disabilities.
Recognition and Response Activities More recently the CCMC has worked with the a range of early care and learning disability groups on efforts to publicize the Recognition and Response method of identifying learning difficulties among young children and addressing their needs. This includes the public release of a research paper on the subject by the FPG Child Development Institute.
RecognitionandResponse.org was developed and is managed by the National Center for Learning Disabilities, which is solely responsible for its content.
Funding was made possible by grants from the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation and the Cisco Systems Foundation.
